Twins

I’ve been thinking about twins…

partly because Nikki and Karen both have twins and often post about them…

and this got all tangled up with thinking about new projects for my workshops…

and I got to thinking…if twins can sometimes be “little monsters”…and I’m not saying that Nikki’s or Karen’s little ones are ever monsters…just that if twins can sometimes be little monsters…then it seems equally probable that little monsters can sometimes be twins…and like all twins they too must have that peculiar property of being very alike, and yet at the same time, being individuals who are very unlike each other…

  1. Monsters? My two well never! (said with tongue very firmly planted in cheek!!).
I love these guys – they are like the yin and yang of each other, but still so alike in many ways – just like my two are.

  2. If you could see me now, you would be laughing at me laughing at your post. Which made me ask the question… what came first? The twins or the monsters..??!!! Your twin monsters are gorgeous Trixi. And just as Karen said, you have captured the twin-thing beautifully – so alike in many ways, but also so different. The kids in your workshops will LOVE making these. Kids constantly point or talk to the kids when we are out, always commenting that they are twins.

  3. Too cute. As a child I enjoyed a series by Edid Blyton which had books with titles like "Upper Fourth at Malory Towers" set in a boarding school. It included a pair of twins that use to get up to mischeif. I was thinking (in the middle of the night) how your monsters resembled letters which got me thinking about the word nun as mischeivious triplet nuns and the strange troubles they could get up to.
