If you’d like to sew some oh-so-sweet baby chicks with your kids or sew them yourself as a fun Easter or spring decor then pop over to the tutorial. You’ll find out how easy and how much fun these active little chicks are to sew. Henya’s baby chicks have barely hatched and already they’re quite a handful. All she seems to do these days is keep her eyes on them and try to see they stay out of trouble. She’s every inch the over-worked mum. One little chick found it’s way to my daughter’s desk and just won’t leave. She’s a graphic designer/illustrator (my daughter that is, not the chick) and she doesn’t mind the company while she draws. Actually, Henya’s chicks sit happily on a busy desk (they’re filled with rice) and they can perch quite comfortably on the top of your computer screen…and they’re really very quiet for chicks…
…so if you’d like to sew some baby chicks just follow the tutorial for Henya. The only differences are I’ve used two 3½” squares of fabric to make the chicks, a tiny bit of polyester fiberfill as stuffing and about a tablespoon and a half of rice to give them weight, and of course, the chicks don’t have a head-comb.
