I’d like to introduce you to the 2017 Sew a Softie Kid Ambassadors: 16 children aged 5-14 years hailing from countries as far-flung as Australia, USA, Canada, England, Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Israel and South Africa.
All will be teaching a friend or friends how to sew a softie. Some are hosting Sew a Softie parties, some are helping to teach sewing at summer camps and I know of at least one ambassador who is posting her Sew a Softie tutorial on her own YouTube channel.
I’ve heard from mums or aunties telling of how the kids have been practicing sewing skills, going to libraries to research a softie to teach or working out original designs for their creations. And the one thing that every mum has told me is how excited their kids are. Me too…and I can’t wait to see what they come up with.
