I almost didn’t design a Valentine sewing project this year. But joining Maggy’s 31 days of Love series was a little too tempting… and so Stephanie Dancing Heart softie was born. She’s an easy Valentines craft for kids to sew and actually adults love to sew softies too.
As you can see, Stephanie is a simple running stitch softie, and as you might know I love getting kids sewing with a running stitch because it’s a quick stitch for kids to master and it’s a quick stitch to sew.
Stephanie as you might imagine loves to dance and is quite the star with those long eye lashes. She loves the spotlight and she loves to swirl around the dance floor with her glitzy shoes. If you’d like to sew your own project for Valentines day I’m sure Stephanie would be thrilled if you made her. You can find the tutorial at Red Ted Art.
And while you have your needle and thread out you might like to sew a few more valentines projects…may I suggest the oh so fabulous Rhonda or perhaps some sweet love bugs to carry in your pockets.
Or even the Sew a Softie for Valentines Day post with 16 more Valentines sewing patterns if you really just can’t stop at one.
