Sew a Softie in July 2020, with 65 free softie sewing patterns, is drawing to a close.
Of course, you may have noticed that it’s already August and new, simple to sew softie tutorials are still being posted…every day…Sew a Softie in July always…it seems…draws to a close…reluctantly. There’s just so much enthusiasm.
This year 65 instagramers posted free softie tutorials, 50 or so kid ambassadors taught friends, neighbours and even dads to sew…and hundreds of kids learnt to sew a softie for the very first time…and absolutely loved it!
On my side, I was lucky enough to receive your inspiring sewing stories and comments. One example: Laura @4kids2moms relates how three stitches into a first sewing project her daughter lost interest…well, it happens…mum was given the task of completing the project…and then, (this bit I love), when her daughter saw the project come to life, “it sparked something in her and she has been sewing softies non-stop ever since.”
I really want to thank all of you for your messages and stories. I can’t tell you how much I loved reading them.
So…(drumroll please)…here are the Sew a Softie in July 2020 tutorials…and don’t forget to check out the #sewasoftie hashtag on insta to see lots more simple, fun, creative, humorous and very loveable softies.
And if the 65 sewing patterns below aren’t enough, then take a look at these 200 easy sewing patterns …and that should keep you busy.
