It’s August already, which means that Sew a Softie in July is over for another year and more importantly, it means that 65 new and absolutely free softie sewing projects have joined the Sew a Softie family of sewing tutorials…yay!!!…and it means that hundreds and hundreds of kids around the world have experienced the fun and thrill of learning to sew a sweet little softie all by themselves…yay again!!!
I like to think of all those kids putting down their screens…at least for a while 🙂 and realizing that they can do something they never imagined they could do!

The 2022 Softie Tutorial Line-up
This years theme was Make Softie Magic Happen and it happened!
Below are some of the magical softie patterns that appeared. If you follow the #sewasoftie hashtag on instagram you’ll find lots more.
There are fairy softies, unicorn softies, magic wand softies, some dragons and all kinds of surprising patterns that parents, teachers and of course, our kids will love to make.
OK, I’m signing off now with a BIG thank you to everyone for theirsoftie creations. It may sound a strange thing to say, but looking at everyone’s contributions, I really do think that softies make the world a saner safer happier place to live in.
